Computational modelsRiver captures, or the abrupt redirection of channels across a drainage divide, separate populations of aquatic organisms, potentially initiating speciation. We explored this process using a coupled model of river network reorganization and macro-evolution called Biodiversity on Simulated LAndscapes using Neutral Theory (Bio-SLANT).
